2003 New Years CRANKUP

This documents our usual feats of annoying our neighbors and breaking local noise statutes by CRANKING UP at midnight on New Year's Eve.

So another year has passed... this year the list and the world have seen some ups and downs. Lets get on with another one :)

A message posted by Dallas and Linda Cox to the Stationary Engine Mailing List...
Here's to another year of hunting old iron
Always searching to fill our engine needs,
Passing by farm buildings with eyes open wide
Pausing to check, behind and beside,
Yearning to see something rusty in the tall weeds.

Never giving up hope or getting discouraged
Ever chasing that one special prize.
Will it be here or will it be there and will we be able to buy?

Yes, some think we're crazy
Even tell us we are as we hunt for that rusty old stuff,
And to them we can say as we haul it away,
Rusty iron is our "diamond" in the rough.

We want to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous new year! See you at the shows!
Dallas and Linda
