Grass Valley 2001 Event Report

This was my first visit to the Grass Valley California show which is held at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. The venue is reminiscent of Portland in that almost everything is in the shade. The show seemed to be more of a social occasion for the members than an actual show. No admittance was charged and there were plenty of engines around popping away and a few tractors of various descriptions. The model makers were out in force with a good selection of model stirling engines.

My boys really enjoyed the place. The only thing we missed was food - we had to make do with ice-cream until we left and went out to buy some lunch.
