Steam & Engine of Australia

Internal Combustion Driven Saw Mills and other Sawing Equipment

This page is a complement to the Steam Sawmill page which documents steam sawmills. The steam mill's less glamourous internal combustion driven cousins are often overlooked but are fascinating items in their own right. I own a 2HP Rosebery "New Record" Dragsaw which I exhibit at shows. I have to admit my saw is probably the ugliest machine I have ever laid my eyes on, but the saw never fails to draw a crowd when I start cutting.
