London to Brighton Steam Car Road Run

Jeff & Pauline Theobald sent me a brief report and some wonderful photos of the London to Brighton Steam Car Road Run this year (2001). What a great day it must have been. The ingenuity and resilience of these drivers is to be saluted! The following text and photos are © Copyright 2001 Jeff Theobald. All Rights Reserved. This article and pictures may not be reproduced without the express written permisson of Jeff Theobald.

I thought you would be interested in the pictures I took of this years London to Brighton as we were assisting Mike Mutters with his 1896 Whitney, you will be pleased to hear that the car made it to Brighton yet again although we did have some problems on the way, it's amazing how with bit's of wire and nuts that are the wrong thread, that hang on well enough to hold a vital part in place, part of a discarded coke can and a lot of ingenuity can get you there, hope you enjoy the pictures, all the best, Jeff.

Here are some of the pictures from yesterday...
