Locomobile Steam Car

Antonio Stabile wrote to me on September of 2001 describing a Locomobile steam car, I've reproduced his message and picture verbatim.

it works by steam.1896. working. with whistle and backward motion. (sthephenson's system).made in usa

The mark boilling pan "Locomobile" original the 1896. It have 299 the copper tube verticals. It repair in fabric the boilling pan Belucci "Carcaraņa". They made the hidraulic test. With whisttle original (megaphone). The cover wood a boilling pan is original. Restaruation one year.Original Motor (Locomobile USA, Stanley), iron pistons and 2 pistons cover by wood, eranskoft a free time, the lubrication is by hand. Sthephenson system for march back (like steam locomotion). Original brake, transmition a chain original, the water tank is made by cooper (under the driver seat). The water pump is original and others automatic pump inside the motor. Finish velocity: 35,40 Km/H It works in perfectly.The car was in exhibition in the Fangio's Museum.
